Quantum^Ⓡ Alternative Dispute Resolution

When I found myself suddenly facing a challenging inheritance matter with complex legal questions, involving beloved family members, I found that I was reluctant to engage a traditional probate litigation attorney if an alternate path to a mutually satisfactory solution was possible. 

Jeff had previously done an outstanding job representing me as a traditional lawyer in another matter, and I was delighted to find that he and Ashleigh have now joined forces to offer Two-Coach mediation. Happily I reached out to them and quickly discovered that a flexible alternative dispute resolution was indeed possible; one in which my values were never overlooked and my concerns were always addressed.

Initially drawn by her dynamic teaching style in Personality Psychology, I eagerly stepped into the role of her teaching assistant for her Industrial/Organizational Psychology class. As she embarks on her new venture, I have no doubt that Dr. Louis will flourish. From the first phone call, Quantum made me feel comfortable. We put together a couple of different game plans depending on which way things went. We were able to settle outside of the court system in a 4-way agreement meeting. I retained most of what I wanted out of the divorce and came to a fair parenting agreement and shared custody. I cannot stress enough how much Quantum had helped me on a personal level keeping myself together and getting through the divorce. I highly recommend them.

When I think about Jeff before Quantum, I don’t think about brutal litigation. There weren’t witnesses crumpling under cross-exam, leveraged opponents hemorrhaging confessions and concessions. And knowing what I know now, that’s not what I needed. I needed someone who could help me see, help me think, and help me progress, at a time when I was struggling to do those things. I needed Jeff and he was there when I needed him most. I’d recommend him to anyone who needs help.

As a mother in a newly blended family, my husband and I sought guidance on issues pertaining to our estate and the security of our children. As a clinician, Jeff and I have shared dozens of cases relative to my role as a family therapist, parent coach, and Parent Coordinator with high-conflict divorcing families. Jeff is a kind and caring person. I have known Jeff for over 10 years and he helped me on several legal matters ranging from employment to family law. Jeff was not your prototypical lawyer and always came at challenges from a position of trying to find a resolution rather than provoke and continue. With time, I learned to trust Jeff completely as I know he always had my best interest at heart and always wanted to do the right thing. Jeff’s approach to legal matters will certainly help him in his next endeavor as he always ultimately wanted to and did help people. I would list myself as one of those lucky enough to have had Jeff helping me through several difficult situations. Always a calm and reasonable person who brings order to what is sometimes mayhem in people's lives.

Through my process, Quantum ADR understood my feelings about moving forward with my divorce despite being advised by a forensic accountant that there was much more that I would probably be entitled to if I embarked through a lengthy court process (my ex was unwilling to produce documents so I would have to begin court proceedings to get what I needed).  I wanted to move on with my life and begin living a happy life and not go through a lengthy court process which kept me attached to my ex any longer.  That was most important to me.

As a family law litigator and mediator myself, I (try to) navigate conflict every day. I have been a family law attorney for approximately 15 years, but I walked away from this workshop with a deeper understanding of how to navigate conflict with clarity and confidence than I had before. My husband left abruptly in 2020 and sent me an email to inform me he was dissolving our marriage and we finalized our divorce the following year. Since then, he established a series of legal obligations that cloud life both emotionally as well as financially. I was heartbroken, stunned, uninformed, and unable to compete with his financial advantages. Navigating this loss was overwhelming and paralyzing, as by design, so I became desperate for help and guidance both emotionally and legally which in my case, were one in the same.
